The Icy.pl community is organising a first ever massive meeting.

The meeting will take place at Cracow, Poland, tommorow. There are about 10 people expected, all are very known in the polish community (I don't have to present tajek or kishony, do I?). And even a first LIVE TOURNAMENT will take place!

That kind of Icy Tower fans meeting is organised for the first time, I hope that some kind of echo will last after this meeting. It's a big event for the whole Icy Tower community around the world, meetings like this ARE possible!

More to come, on Sunday - photos and coverage from the meeting.

greetings,
syo

Oh wow. I read about in in the Polish forums a bit, but my Polish is way too bad to understand Laughing You could have told it sooner.
I was away for 4 days... I was in a city that's quite close to Poland. I could have come and visit you Wink Maybe next time...

The live tourney must be so cool. I'd like to play too...

Right now the first round is taking place. Currently, in group A, Vinyanov is in the lead with 6 points (won both score and combo), syo is second with 4 points losing nearly (by 800 score and 2 combo!!), 3rd is kishony, a little further than the others, but hopefully he will catch up:)

Group B battles now, SaleiB already did his score and is waiting for Petr and Domia to finish their game.
More to come soon

EDIT:
Both groups have finished score and combo:

250 combo? How much time did you have?

There were 10 minutes of time for each category. During the first round of the game we decided to put score and combo into one sack, so there was 20 minutes to score the biggest score and combo. The same with floor and NML.

Back with the results. These are the floor and NML results of the group A:

Are you thinking of letting non-Polish players to take a peek at you next summer?

I have to correct you a bit - it was the first live tournament where people participated. Some kids house in Czech Rep. made a tournament last year, but only two people came in the whole day. I know it only because they borrowed my text for their poster Wink

Of course! Everyone is welcomed!

Cracow is a great and magical place, especially in the afternoon, when there are a lot of non-polish people and a lot of cool things take place in the city. It's really non-attractive but only when you visit Cracow at 5 in the morning (like SaleiB, Vinyanov and I did).

I still don't know where'll be the next meeting held. Maybe Cracow again, but some people want Warsaw naw. We'll see. Now, let's wait for the pictures from Petr, he should upload them on his PC today. Smile

Biggest combo - 275 by SaleiB

There was actually a tie. He made 305 in a non-score round... And I did it too, in the finals. Wink

Maybe Cracow again

Or, if the people who aim to internationalisation are planning to step forward, somewhere near Germany and Czech Republic. Well. The surprises were positive. The victory was sweet. The winnings are eaten. Thanks to all who came. And wishes of being present at the next year edition for those who did not! Very Happy

Yeah, I think I'll try to come to the next meeting. I just hope that it will not again be in a city so far away from my hometown... You know, -9-hour-travel (ALONE!) is a bit too long for me. As for the place near Czech Republic and Germany - I think Zielona G
