Hello!
It's password to the first round (we're playing Score): TARANTALLEGRA
I'd like to remind you of possibilities send replays: you can place it in this topic (it's safest way, of course), place it in special topic on Icy.pl or send it to me (on klaud.greenelves@gmail.com or Private Message).
I will receive replays to 5th January (9 p.m., GMT+1).

Good luck! Smile

So far, 193129 points with a combo of combos ( Wink ) of 380 + 207. Also had two 400+s, but none sufficed to beat that score.

And I don't feel like more, because 1) the game lags even despite me closing all other applications, 2) my monitor turns off completely every couple of minutes and I have to disconnect it and let it recover for several dozens of seconds before turning it on again, 3) even when it's on, it sometimes covers 1/4 of the screen by suddenly displaying a diagnostic menu (for changing brightness, contrast, etc.) all by itself, and this disrupts me (besides, to remove that dialog I have to pause the game to click a relevant button on the display, and such pausing causes the game to lag harder than usual for a second or two, which is even more disastrous), and finally, 4) my playing is still affected with that keyboard issue that causes keypresses to sometimes last longer than intended, which also kills the character. So... enough stress for today.

Very Happy

ok, NOW I have read the first post...and I'm not amused about it. There were better rules in fewer tournaments, nothing like "you can send replays later if you have problems with the web". Look, I won't have time for the rest of the day, so I have to rely on my score made yesterday (even if there is no PW in the "name", but anywhere else ^^). I could easily tell you, that my web had a disfunction, and can send you a replay 1 or 2 hours later than 9PM. What's about this? How can you get sure that players don't cheat anyway? For me, it IS a way of cheating. Of course, we hope, everybody will tell the truth  Whoopedobedoo!

just think about it  Cool

You have quite right, but I'm trying believe players. Besides, I know what unstable Web mean. I have many problems with my Internet, so I don't want negate problems other people in this issue. Wink
Anyway, thank for your advice, but I can't change rules in the course of tournament.

---

Edit: Problems with fourth rule appeared. It's my fault, I think. Password should be in name of replay (by saving replay it's 'Filename' field, exactly express) and in 'Comments' field.
If 'KUKURYK' is the password all looks: PICTURE

I won't be very strict by it. Password in filename is for my comfort. Wink

Uh, Kaz... I know we should all be enjoying your comeback, but you sound quite arrogant in this topic. (Forgive my frankness...). You return and you command the organiser to "write your name" on the contestants' list, if it only is possible. Fine. It may just be your personal style of posting. But later you actually admit to not having read the first message of the tournament topic before you "joined" the tournament (or, to be strict, "were joined" to it by the helpful organiser)? I wouldn't expect that you did it, but to tell it publicly is just over-the-top.

BTW, "I'm not amused about it" sounds condescending.

Apart from that, though, you are correct... Klaud, problems with Internet connection do not totally disable the player from playing, and people affected with them need no special privileges. Imagine the worst scenario: a player's network is down a hour or two after he first learned the round password, and he cannot upload replays anymore. This is troublesome, but he'll lose little compared to other players, if only he records and uploads a preliminary replay in the first 5 or 10 minutes of the round, to function as a "last resort" replay, in case he would be unable to make a better result later. In case of Score, it could be as little as 50,000 or 100,000 points. Still, uploading it would certainly give him some advantage in the tournament. It is always possible to win yourself at least some gain, regardless of whether the deadlines are being followed less or more strictly, if you only don't unnecessarily delay uploading your replays.

Violating deadlines causes other problems, too, but everyone knows that. Wink
(Sorry for a low quality message, I'm tired).

Okay, I agree and support battle with bad habits (uploading replays 10-15 minutes before deadline). It's good solution problems with Internet. Maybe I will think about it in next tournament (in very very very distant future), but I won't change something what I decided. It won't be fair with reference to people who accepted rules in their original shape.

Mmm... I can't write long messages. Sorry for compression Razz
